Arlene Phillips blasts 'ridiculously high' Strictly scores
28/09/2009
Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips has sounded off about the scores in the first few episodes of series seven, calling the marks "ridiculously high".The 66-year-old told The Sun that she had done her own overall score for the couples after watching their performances and said "theirs are nowhere near where mine are". "I think Craig [Revel Horwood] is the only one marking what he sees - and he gets booed," she added. The ex-judge went on to say that some of the stars such as Natalie Cassidy, Zoe Lucker and Craig Kelly may be using their stage presence and acting skills to distract the panel from their less-than-perfect footwork. Arlene has been a member of the judging panel for all previous series of the BBC One show, until she was sensationally axed earlier this year in favour of former champion Alesha Dixon, 30. Alesha has since come under fire from viewers, who have complained about her inexperience as a judge. Celebrate in style with our latest champagne deals ![]() |
