A lucky community garden in Newcastle is celebrating after a secret millionaire donated £75,000 to the cause.
John Griffin, who owns a multi-million-pound taxi service, made the donation as part of Channel Four's Secret Millionaire series, the Chronicle reported.
Secret Millionaire sees well-off people give up their luxury lifestyles and go undercover in deprived areas to find out how they can help.
During the show, Mr Griffin, who posed as John the taxi driver, gave cash to the Scotswood Community Garden, which aims to promote nature, the environment and sustainable living.
The garden's project leader Mark Chambers said everyone was delighted.
He added that the money will be used to encourage children to help elderly residents with their gardening.
Speaking to the newspaper, Mr Chambers said: "I sometimes find that there is a divide between the children and adults in this area. I am hoping that the money will help me to break down these barriers."
"The children love being out in the garden, they are a nice bunch of kids and it would be great if they could go into the community," he added.
