Jamie Oliver: Families should get together over food and drink
16/04/2010
Organising an event around food and drink is a great way of ensuring that all the family gets to spend time together, according to Jamie Oliver. The TV chef has teamed up with Sainsbury's Magazine to launch the Sit Down Sunday campaign, which aims to encourage British families to eat a Sunday meal together. He said: "The idea is simple: make a little effort once a week to get together around a table and break bread with your family and friends." "It needn't be a full-on roast - you might prefer brunch, a cosy afternoon tea, a stew for dinner, lunch at a country pub or a cracking picnic or barbecue," he said. The 34-year-old star has three daughters with his wife Jools, who is pregnant with their fourth child. Oliver is best known for his TV shows such as The Naked Chef, Jamie's Kitchen, Jamie's School Dinners and Jamie's Great Italian Escape. Celebrate in style with our latest champagne deals.
