Joe Calzaghe voted off Strictly Come Dancing

Boxer Joe Calzaghe was voted off Strictly Come Dancing last night, after a weak jive performance. After a combination of judges' scores and viewers' votes, Joe and his dance partner Kristina, 32, were forced into the dance-off where all four judges voted them off. Bad Girls actress Zoe Lucker and partner James Jordan were also in the bottom two. Immediately after being voted off, Calzaghe said: "It's the way it goes. It's been a great experience. It's been fantastic." Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Philips has suggested that the romance between Calzaghe and his dance partner was the reason he was voted off, the Daily Mirror reports. Meanwhile, the boxer's father, Enzo, thanked everyone who supported his son. "He showed a lot of improvement and he had major support from the Welsh and other people all over the country," he said while speaking to Wales Online. The decision leaves 11 couples to battle it out next week in a bid to be crowned the show's winner. Celebrate in style with our latest champagne deals.
