Mel Gibson wears earplugs in bed

Hollywood actor Mel Gibson has revealed that he wears earplugs in bed so that he isn't woken by his baby daughter, according to reports. Appearing on the Jay Leno Show, the Braveheart actor, who has a three-month-old daughter with Oksana Grigorieva, said having been a father seven times before, he is more mellow this time round. The Mad Max actor joked: "There [are] shortcuts, I guess. Earplugs, you know!" When Leno asked if he was getting up much at night, the actor joked: "I will be honest, I would say that her mother does the lion's share of that work, but you know, I support her." He also revealed that he has given up smoking but is finding it difficult. He added that he wanted to quit because he wants to be able to play tennis with his three-month old daughter Lucia.
