No garden for Diarmuid Gavin at Chelsea Flower Show
09/02/2010
TV gardener Diarmuid Gavin will not design a garden for this year's Chelsea Flower Show, it has been reported. The celebrity gardener was expected to show his new Dublin Airport smoking and drinking shelter garden at the event but a representative for Mr Gavin has said other projects mean he will not take part in this year's show. Speaking to Horticulture Week, the representative noted: "We had hoped we were going to be doing Chelsea, but Diarmuid has got a major new television programme which is imminent." The Royal Horticultural Society, which arranges the event, said that they were looking forward to working with Mr Gavin in the future. "In the meantime are excited about the tremendous line-up of designers bringing an eclectic mix of world-class gardens to the 2010 show," they added. The garden designer has previously been seen on shows such as Gardeners' World and Gardens Through Time. Make the most of your garden with our gardening deals. Posted by Jez Walters. ![]() |
