Susan Boyle to sing next Bond Tune?
21/12/2009
Scottish songstress Susan Boyle has been tipped as one of the leading contenders to sing the theme tune for the newest James Bond film.Official James Bond fan clubs have launched internet campaigns to get the Britain's Got Talent runner-up on the soundtrack of the film, currently named Bond 23. The 48-year-old has the backing of Monty Norman, who wrote the original Bond theme music, after he declared her his top choice for the 23rd film. Mr Norman said: "She's got the right kind of sweeping voice. I think Susan Boyle is great." If selected for the next instalment, due for release in 2011, the 48-year-old will follow legends including Sir Paul McCartney, Tom Jones and Dame Shirley Bassey. The last James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, was released in 2008 and starred Daniel Craig as the iconic MI6 agent. Ms Boyle rose to fame after appearing on the British talent show this summer.
