Will Ferrell tops list of overpaid actors

Anchorman star Will Ferrell has been named as Hollywood's most overpaid actor by Forbes. After a series of box office flops, the Hollywood actor tops the list of stars whose returns offer the least value for money. According to the list, Ferrel, best known for his roles in Elf and Bewitched, made just $3.29 (£1.97) for every dollar he was paid, according to the list. Trainspotting and Star Wars actor Ewan McGregor came second on the list, making just $3.75 for every dollar he was paid. Billy Bob Thornton, Eddie Murphy and Ice Cube also rank among Hollywood's most over paid actors. In contrast, for every dollar Shia LaBeouf was paid, his films earned an average of $160. Forbes calculated actors' and actresses estimated earnings against the performance of their films to devise their list.
