Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa opens in AustraliaEmirates has opened its first Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa outside of Dubai in one of Australia's most prominent national parks.

Set within the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, the resort features 40 individual secluded suites and is nestled in a 4,000-acres wildlife reserve.

Wolgan Valley is the first luxury conservation-based resort in Australia, protecting its surrounding habitat and indigenous wildlife species while delivering first-class standards and quality.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, chairman and chief executive of Emirates Airline and Group, said the resort heralds a "new era" of luxury travel in the country.

"We have built our businesses on the basis of being sustainable and environmentally aware," he said, adding: "We are expanding our unique luxury conservation-based resort philosophy into a different country."

Meanwhile, British spa retreat Centre Parcs recently introduced real-time booking facilities to allow visitors to book their entire itinerary online prior to their arrival.
