Harley Medical Group reports increase in breast implants
07/09/2009
Breast augmentation is still the most popular cosmetic surgery procedure among women, according to new figures from the Harley Medical Group. The clinic said that an increase in demand for the procedure has been driven by a boom in post-baby surgery, which now accounts for 60 per cent of all breast augmentations. Angela Fry from Maidenhead, who had a breast augmentation after her fourth child, said: "For me, having a breast augmentation wasn't about getting bigger breasts but getting them back to the shape and size that was right for my figure. She added that having the surgery has made her feel more feminine and given her "much more confidence" in herself. Harley Medical Group said that breast reduction is also a popular cosmetic surgery option for women and the procedure can usually be performed in under three hours. TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson recently underwent a breast reduction procedure after giving birth to her fourth child Malcolm.
