Virgin Atlantic to open spa at Gatwick AirportVirgin Atlantic has announced plans to open a new spa at Gatwick Airport, offering a relaxing haven for passengers jetting off on holiday.

The airline's new Cowshed Spa will be located in its Gatwick Airport Clubhouse and will open after refurbishment work has been completed at the end of November.

When it reopens, passengers will be treated to the ultimate pre-flight pampering experience complete with exclusive treatments.

Steve Ridgway, chief executive of Virgin Atlantic Airways, said: "Our Upper Class passengers travelling through Gatwick will be able to enjoy the ultimate pre-flight experience."

He added that the Clubhouse would feature some of the best elements of the flagship facility at London Heathrow.

The newly-refurbished Grand Resort Bad Ragaz spa in Switzerland reopened recently offering a variety of alternative treatments such as Tibetan Singing Bowl Massage.
