17/06/2010
This year's Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) National Plant Show will focus on new plants, it has been announced. Visitors at the show, which is taking place from June 29th-30th at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry, will be able to see a range of new plants from UK suppliers. The event will also feature the New Plant Awards, which is sponsored by ProVar. Here exhibitors will have the opportunity to showcase new varieties, while a judging panel consisting of David Clark, Kate Lowe, Graham Rice, Caroline Owen and David Gilchrist will decide which plant is best. Protected plants will also be on display at the event, Charles Carr of Lowaters Nursery, who is representing ProVar, said. "We will be displaying a range of new plants and established varieties which are new this year. "Amongst them are: Thuja Golden Smaragd, Coreopsis coloropsis tm series, Podocarpus Gaurdsman, Prunella Summer Daze and Spiraea Sparkling Champagne." ProVar was set up to increase levels of awareness of new ornamental plants and provide information on protected varieties. Make the most of your garden with our free plants offers.
