Visitors to Alaska are not looking for a cheap holiday but come for a once in a lifetime vacation, the Alaska Travel Industry Association (ATIA) has claimed.
However, according to Jacqi Todd, UK representative for the ATIA, people might find it difficult to see everything the country has to offer in one trip.
"Although we don't have a huge road structure in terms of the size of Alaska, you could still spend two or three weeks going around all the road systems without running out of space," she noted.
Ms Todd added: "It's got to be a special trip, you've got to budget for it and you've got to save for it and then it will be very worthwhile, but it will never be on the cheap end."
Last week, Travelsupermarket.com reported that Brits are being more cautious with their holiday spending, despite 16 per cent of people saying they are more likely to go on holiday in the next year than they were six months ago.
