Florida 'ideal for a family holiday'

Florida is an ideal destination for a family holiday because of its wide variety of attractions, Visit Florida has said.

According to Colin Brodie, director of Visit Florida in the UK, the state continues to be popular with holidaymakers, with tour operators reporting year-on-year increases in bookings.

He added that the US state was a "no-brainer for a family holiday".

"It's got something for everyone - shopping, Disneyworld - with Harry Potter opening up and next year we have Legoland being built," he stated.

He noted that many people made repeat trips to the state, adding that the US remains good value for money.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a 26-acre attraction at Universal Resort’s Islands of Adventure, where people can have a glass of non-alcoholic Butterbeer from the Three Broomsticks restaurant, go for a fitting in Ollivander's wand shop or arrive at Hogsmead station on the Hogwarts Express.
