Is it already time to plan your winter holiday?
20/07/2010
Half us probably haven't even been on our summer holiday yet, which means that it can be hard to imagine planning a ski trip for the winter.Yet, over the last few weeks, there has been a lot of talk about winter holidays. The Office de Promotion de la Grande Plagne suggested earlier this month that holidaymakers who are looking for unique experience should head to the French resort. Louise Wilson, spokesperson for the resort's promotional body said: "It is the only resort in France that has a bobsleigh track, which offers three different ways to go down using bobs." For the first time, she noted, people will be able to body board down the slopes after skiing sessions have finished on an inflatable body board. This sounds crazy and dangerous, but also fun! If skiing is what you're all about when you head away for a winter break, Val Thorens might be just the place to go, Clementine Blanchard from the Office du Tourisme de Val Thorens has claimed. "Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe where the snow is guaranteed," she said. And, in some good news, Crystal Holidays, which recently published the Crystal Ski Industry Report 2010, said only countries which offer deals and compelling holidays, and create good value will attract people next season. Sounds like it might be possible to get a good deal! Don't miss out on the best offers and prizes and visit our travel deals page today! Posted by Carla Spuri ![]() |
