Apple giving away $10,000 voucher
15/02/2010
Technology company Apple has announced a competition which will see one lucky winner receive a $10,000 (£6,378) voucher. The competition, called the Countdown to 10 Billion Song Downloads, will celebrate the ten billionth downloaded song from the iTunes Store. According to the company, the winner of the voucher, which will be redeemable on Apple's online music and app store, will be either the person who downloads the ten billionth song or who submits an online form directly after the 9,999,999,999th track has been downloaded. Apple could reach the 10 billionth milestone as early as the end of February, reports suggest. Residents of most countries which have an iTunes store, including the UK, who are over the age of 13 years, can enter the competition. Apple, which last month unveiled the iPad, held a similar competition to mark one billion App Store downloads. While announcing the giveaway, Apple also released a list of its all-time best-selling songs, with Black Eyed Peas' I Gotta Feeling taking the top spot.
